about me

hi, my name is sree atyam. i'm a student at uiuc, where i study computer science and physics, minor in math and stats, with a concentration in hpc, statistical mechanics, quantum information, and systems in machine learning.

right now, i'm doing research in a couple of different interesting fields. one of my projects surrounds tensor contraction, annealed importance sampling, and applications of mcmc in quantum simulation. another project focuses on designing benchmarks for speculative inference in llm/vlm gaming agents, with the goal of generalizing gaming-based reasoning to real-time control and simulation systems.

i am also interested in film, more specifically scriptwriting, so if you have tips + recs, let me know. some of my recent favorites are meiyazhagan, minari, and ponyo.
